ProfitGenie ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our multi-channel e-commerce analytics platform, including integrations with Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Etsy.

2. Information We Collect

When you install and use ProfitGenie, we access and process the following data from your connected sales channels:

• Order Data: Order IDs, dates, amounts, discounts, line items, and fulfillment status
• Customer Data: Customer IDs, email addresses, order history, and purchase dates
• Product Data: SKUs, product titles, prices, cost data, and sales quantities
• Store Information: Shop domains and API access tokens for authentication
• Marketing Data: Campaign spend, impressions, clicks, and conversion metrics (when provided)
• Account Information: Your email address, name, and organization details

Data is collected from: Shopify (via OAuth), Amazon Seller Central (via SP-API), TikTok Shop (via Open API), and Etsy (via Open API v3).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to provide our analytics services:

• Calculate contribution margins and unit economics
• Compute customer cohort retention rates and lifetime value (LTV)
• Analyze CAC payback periods and marketing efficiency
• Generate SKU performance and velocity reports
• Provide demand planning and inventory forecasting
• Build cash flow forecasts and revenue projections
• Track subscription usage for billing purposes

AI-assisted import classification: When you analyze an uploaded spreadsheet, we may send eligible column headers and up to five short sample values to the Anthropic-compatible service configured for this application to suggest column mappings. Customer, contact, location, and order or transaction columns are excluded from that request. Common email, phone, and URL patterns are redacted from other headers and samples, and instruction-like sample text is omitted. These safeguards are best-effort and may not identify every sensitive value placed in an unexpected field. We do not send the excluded columns' headers or values for classification. Any change that would send customer or contact data to an AI provider requires review of that provider's privacy, retention, and model-training settings and an update to this notice before it is enabled. The model suggests mappings only; users confirm them, and it does not calculate or import financial results.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard measures. API credentials and access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption with dedicated encryption keys. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data transmission occurs over HTTPS. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our rights and safety
• With service providers who assist in operating our application (under strict confidentiality agreements)

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. When you uninstall the app or close your account, we will delete your data within 48 hours, unless we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

8. Platform Data Access

Our application accesses your sales channel data through each platform's secure authentication systems:

• Shopify: OAuth 2.0 authentication with scoped API access
• Amazon: Login with Amazon (LWA) OAuth2 via Selling Partner API
• TikTok Shop: HMAC-signed API requests with authorized access tokens
• Etsy: API key and OAuth2 token authentication via Open API v3

We request only the minimum permissions necessary to provide our analytics services. All data access is read-only. We never modify your store data.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
